Jharkhand's RERA Act was passed on May 18, 2017. The Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) Jharkhand protects homebuyers' interests while opening the road for real estate developers and agents to give exceptional services to prospective consumers in the business.
To ensure prompt redress of grievances, the authority has also established an Appellate Tribunal to which customers who are dissatisfied with the authority's judgement or order can appeal. The Appellate Tribunal must ensure that the appeal is heard and resolved within 60 days. Under the Act, all real estate brokers are required to register. As per the Act, real estate agents are not supposed to promote the sale/purchase of a real estate property in any way unless he/she is registered under the Act.
