RERA in Himachal Pradesh

The Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, was enacted by the Government of India. The Government of Himachal Pradesh is yet to establish the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) HP under this Act for the regulation and promotion of the state's real estate sector. On September 28, 2017, Himachal Pradesh passed the RERA Act.

The Authority's primary goal will be to regulate and promote the real estate sector, with the goal of increasing transparency in the real estate industry by requiring mandatory disclosure of project specifics to property buyers.

Dr. Shrikant Baldi (Retd. IAS) is the Chairman of HP RERA.
